Volunteers are the heart of Mountain Shelter Humane Society, making a life-changing impact on the animals in our care. Whether you're walking dogs, visiting cats, or helping at events, your time and dedication directly improve the lives of homeless pets.

Volunteering is not only rewarding, but it also comes with great benefits—unconditional love from animals, the joy of making a difference, and becoming part of a compassionate community. Anyone with a love for animals, a willingness to help, and a little time to spare can be a great volunteer. Whether you're a student, retiree, or just looking for a meaningful way to give back, we’d love to have you on our team!   • March 26th Volunteer Orientation

    Come volunteer with Mtn Shelter Adoption Center!

    In this 30 minute Volunteer Orientation participants will learn about the Adoption Center, our work, and Fear Free animals care practices. There will be volunteer tasks available immediately afterwards and/or you will be able to sign up for future shifts at the close of your Orientation.

  • April 4th Volunteer Orientation

    Come volunteer with Mtn Shelter Adoption Center!

    In this 30 minute Volunteer Orientation participants will learn about the Adoption Center, our work, and Fear Free animals care practices. There will be volunteer tasks available immediately afterwards and/or you will be able to sign up for future shifts at the close of your Orientation.
